Understanding the Differences between Adult and Teen Acne
Teens usually have oily skin, especially in the T-zone. The T-zone is made up of the forehead, nose, and chin. Teen acne is brought about by puberty and when puberty ends so does the signs of acne. Teen acne appears as whiteheads, blackheads, pustules, and cysts. Teen acne is most often on the face and neck. Cell turnover is faster and skin is more resilient in teens resulting in a faster recovery with appropriate skin treatments. Typically boys are more prone to acne than girls.
