When skin loses elasticity, it becomes less pliable and less resilient against gravitational forces. This cumulative effect of aging contributes to wrinkles and sagging skin. Thankfully, with the mini facelift procedure, we can reverse sagging and remove wrinkles by tightening targeted areas of the face.
A mini facelift procedure is a rejuvenation technique that is much less invasive than a full facelift. One of the benefits of the procedure is that it only requires a small half-inch incision while the patient is put under general anesthesia. The surgery is completed relatively quickly, typically lasting an hour or so.
Patients are permitted to go home immediately when the sedation wears off but must have a ride available from the hospital. The end result of the procedure should leave the patient with dramatically tightened skin under the chin and neck with an overall lifted appearance.
