If you chose to get a rhinoplasty procedure, you probably have put a lot of thought and time into it. You’ve spent time determining what you want changed, how you want it to look when it’s over, and envisioning yourself with your new nose. These are wonderful and exciting steps to take as you enter into getting your procedure done, but you also need to plan for your recovery to ensure a safe and quick recovery time.
Step1: Follow the post-rhinoplasty instructions provided by Dr. Ransom.
Step 2: Make sure you show up to each scheduled appointment after your procedure.
Step 3: Take all medications prescribed by Dr. Ransom.
Step 4: Enlist the help of family and friends to help relieve you of some of your responsibilities for a few days to allow you time to rest and recover.
Step 5: Do not blow your nose until Dr. Ransom says it is safe to do so.
Step 6: To help reduce swelling and discomfort, use a cold compress during the first week.
Step 7: Get plenty of sleep.
Step 8: Avoid alcohol consumption for at least 2 weeks following your procedure.
Step 9: Try to avoid or steer clear of situations where your nose could get bumped or hit.
Step 10: Drink plenty of water and eat a healthy diet.
